Why Organic?

REASONS TO GO ORGANIC AND ALL NATURAL

Let’s start with a video about harmful chemical flame retardants found in our mattresses and furniture:

“In recent decades, most mattresses have been made either with metal springs sandwiched between layers of polyurethane foam, or with just foam. In showrooms, salespeople typically focus on firmness, talking about the number of springs or the density of the foam. What they rarely bring up — but what has become increasingly common knowledge among consumers — is that polyurethane foam is made from petroleum, and that it can emit volatile organic compounds (V.O.C.’s), which have been linked to respiratory irritation and other health problems, according to both the Environmental Protection Agency and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.” – NY Times, 2009

The Latest Fad in Bedding today is Memory foam. What most people are not aware is is the materials used are made from Chemicals (we challenge you all to do a web search and discover for your self what is actually inside memory foam). Many people are now starting to appreciate a good nights sleep on a mattress made with organic and natural materials. Even traditional spring mattress contain polyurethane foam, chemical flame retardants and stain blockers as well as other things we feel as if should be a concern for where you spend 1/3 of your life.

Natural Mattress are made from nature. The main ingredients are all natural latex from a rubber tree known for it’s pressure relieving and long lasting abilities, wool- a natural fire barrier which can eliminate the need for chemical flame retardants but is also a great temperature regulator and a favorite for allergy sufferers and cotton- a natural material which is what was used in mattresses before all the new chemical byproducts.
