At first glance, it appears the shade is floating over a sturdy wooden base. With a closer look, the artisan’s craftsmanship is on display as the shade is carefully attached to a strong-angled arm. The exposed metal is finished using a warm copper finish, as not to distract from the floating shade. As an added detail, the wooden finial atop of the metal arm is made of the same wood as the base to complete the piece.
